Meadow Rose specializes in the breeding of Straight Egyptian Arabians. Our original horses were based heavily on the Gleannloch breeding program, using such horses as Maalik, son of *Morafic and daughter of *Omnia, crossed with Dalul and *Tuhotmos bred horses. Our breeding program has consistently produced individuals that are beautiful, useful, versatile, and kind.
At Meadow Rose we stand our two stallions, MR Asmar and Waseem Ibn Maalik. We usually have one or two youngsters for sale each year, either or own or our clients.
We believe in using our horses as well as showing them; therefore even our stallions are used on the surrounding mountain trails and as schooling horses, and even as cattle and sheep herding horses. All of our horses are handled and worked with from birth, and although beautiful and “royal” they are allowed to frolic and buck in our fields, and roll in the dirt and the mud. We feel this has helped to produce horses that are mentally sound.
